About Begbie House
An authentic timber frame vacation rental home nestled between the Columbia River and panoramic Mount Begbie in Revelstoke, British Columbia.

Begbie House is a beautiful 2500 sq.ft. timber frame house situated on 3.5 acres of private mountain woodland with breathtaking views of glacier-topped Mt. Begbie. The home is located adjacent to incredible mountain bike and Nordic ski trails, and only minutes away from world class downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowmobile hot spots. The modern, well stocked kitchen, large comfortable beds, king size master loft suite with private ensuite, open concept, incredibly high ceilings, outdoor hot tub, wood stove, games room, and large televisions will help you relax after a great day outdoors. The large timber frame structure, with it's mix of unique joinery, recycled wooden doors, and custom iron work make this house the ultimate warm and cozy vacation experience!!

Begbie House has been designed with ultimate comfort and relaxation in mind with particular attention to authenticity.
Bedrooms

There are 5 large bedrooms. 2 king size master suites. 1 on the ground floor which includes a TV for night time viewing and is located by the hot tub. The other king suite is in the private loft and also includes 2 futon’s along with a TV and 3pc private ensuite. On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms with a double bed. The final bedroom is on the main floor and has a queen bed which has been dubbed the library bedroom as it boasts wooden book shelves galore. All bedrooms are outfitted with new comfortable beds and high quality fresh linens.
Bathrooms
There are 3 bathrooms in the house fully stocked with a large comfy bath sheet or bath towel, hand towel, face cloth and hot tub towel per guest. Hair dryers are also provided. 2 of the 3 bathrooms are 3 piece. The third bathroom includes the most comfortable bath tub you have seen in years.
Kitchen and Dining

The kitchen is fully stocked with new main appliances (wall oven, cooktop, large refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher) and small appliances (microwave, blender, waffle iron, slow cooker, toaster, coffee maker) along with enough dishes and utensils to seat 12. Also included is everything you would need to cook your meal: pots, pans, etc. Welcoming coffee packages provided along with spices and staple condiments for your use during your stay. The open concept dining and kitchen area includes both bar seating and table seating for 6, perfect for socializing.
In-house Entertainment
Books: A selection of novels and books about the area are available for reading in the library bedroom on the main floor.
Games Rooms: There are 2 games room in the house. The first is outfitted with a foosball table on the ground floor. The second games room boasts a large TV with an xbox and board games off the living room on the main floor.
Televisions and Internet: There are 3 flat screen televisions complete with DVD players, satellite/cable and a Bose stereo system with bluetooth capabilities. High speed wifi is available throughout the house.
Parking and Outdoor Amenities

Parking and Land: There is a large parking area in the front of the house with 3.5 acres of land that is both landscaped and wooded and includes a gentle toboggan run. The land is perfect for seasonal small camp fires to roast marshmallows.
Decks, Hot Tubs, and BBQs: There are 2 decks. The first is on the ground floor and houses a gorgeous hot tub. The hot tub is fully covered and has an outstanding view like no other in the city of Mt Macpherson and the legendary “Fingers.” The upper deck boasts great views of the meadows below and is the perfect BBQ location. You can enjoy this deck and BBQ just outside the main great room.
Heating: The main heat is provided by a high efficiency pellet stove on the ground floor which provides awesome wood heat for drying gear on the racks provided. Electric heaters are provided in all of the rooms for individualized heat control. There is also a wood stove on the main floor adjacent to the living room and kitchen to warm up after a long day on the mountain or exploring the outdoors. Kick back and relax by the welcoming fire.

Housekeeping: Full house keeping services are available at additional cost and must be requested in advance. For more information please enquire upon booking.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside Begbie House.
Pets: No pets allowed

Renter Minimum Age: 25 years
Children: Begbie House warmly accepts families with children. There are single futons in the loft area that are suitable for small children.

Begbie House looks over Mt. McPherson's famous in-town backcountry skiing and snowboarding hot spot: The Fingers.

Revelstoke is a winter playground situated between the Monashee and Selkirk mountains offering endless sledding terrain and maintained trail access.

Shopping and Sight Seeing
Our downtown core is filled with fun local shops for you to browse or pick up a must needed item. A few must see locations include the Revelstoke Dam, the Revelstoke Railway Museum, and don't forget to swing by our local Revelstoke Farmers Market on Saturday's.

Music
Revelstoke is the only city in Canada to have a Summer Street Festival that runs 64 consecutive nights between June and August: The Revelstoke Summer Street Festival!

National Parks
Visiting the national parks that surround Revelstoke are a must see on your trip. Drive up the Meadows in the Sky Parkway in Revelstoke National Park for a quick way to the top or take the day and hike. Glacier National Park is about an hours drive to the famous Rogers Pass National Historic Site where you can learn all there is about the nature that surrounds and someone is always more then willing to suggest the perfect hike.

Mountain Biking
Revelstoke is known for it's epic mountain biking, and Begbie House is right in the middle of the best trails around at the base of Mt. McPherson.

Kayaking
The beautiful Columbia River is in our backyard and offers a unique way to view the Monashee and Selkirk mountains. Several companies in town offer kayak rentals to get you on the water in no time.

Yoga and Revelstoke's Aquatic Centre
Not as flexible as you used to be? Relax into some yoga as Balu Yoga Stuido. If you are looking to take a dip Revelstoke's Aquatic Centre is stocked with an amazing pool, lazy river, hot tub, sauna, the works!

Hot Springs
Enjoy soothing hot springs all year long and benefit from natures own hot tub. There are several commercial and hidden springs within an hour's drive of Revelstoke so options are plenty after a hard day of play.

Fishing (Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing)
Like to fish? How about love? Situated on the Columbia River, Revelstoke has some of the best fresh-water fishing in the neighbourhood. Reel in a few more big ones with a quick drive to another fishing mecca: Upper Arrow Lake.

Hiking
Begbie House is surrounded by a wilderness wonderland cut with trails and paths leading to epic views. With many mountains topping at 10,000 feet you can climb from the rain forest, through the snow forest, right to the alpine in a matter of hours. This new craze is so simply, yet so enjoyable. An affordable way to get mobile on the local waterways.

Dirtbiking
Revelstoke has more terrain than any speed demon could cover in just one vacation. Begbie House is situated in a prime location to access mountain terrain via nearby forest service roads.

Rock Climbing

Nordic Skiing
Begbie House is a short 2 minute drive to one of the area's most popular nordic ski trail systems at Mount McPherson where trails range from gentle to strenuous. Other popular areas include Mount Revelstoke and the Revelstoke Golf Course. Click here to download the trail map.

Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing can be a rewarding exercise, or a necessary method of transportation. Book a guided tour with the Revelstoke Snowshoe Company, or rent a pair at one of the local sports shops in downtown Revelstoke.

Paragliding
Take to the air and get a birds eye view of the the entire valley, and for the brave and experienced take a flight over the world famous Rogers Pass.
